MFAeA Legacy Scholarship

Mississippi’s First Alumnae Association’s Legacy Scholarship is awarded to one family member of an alum who has been admitted to MUW as a new, full-time student. The Legacy Scholarship is the amount equivalent to one semester’s in-state tuition at MUW. The selection of the recipient of this award is based on the student's potential for academic and leadership success at MUW.

At this year's annual Homecoming board meeting, it was announced that the first winner of the MFAeA Legacy Scholarship is George Douglas Stoner, pictured here with his sister, 2008 MUW graduate Megan Stoner Morgan.

George, who started at the W as a dual-enrollment student last fall, has also received a University Scholarship and a Hearin scholarship. He will be majoring in biology with an emphasis in genetics.
